About AKC Inspections (and CKC)
I am inspected regularly by AKC (American Kennel Club). I am NOT inspected by the state or USDA (My pets are FAMILY- not cattle). My dogs and their puppies are AKC registered. While the inspector is here, paperwork compliance is checked and verified for thoroughness and completion. Cleanliness of my entire home and property is also checked as well as the well-being of each one of the dogs along with their veterinary health records/vacc's current.
If I have a litter of puppies when the inspector is here, he can take a DNA sample (mouth swab) from the puppies as well as the parents. If this DNA sample does not match, I will no longer be able to register our dogs with the AKC. AKC requires that sires used in more than three breedings each year be DNA tested and I am being honest and responsible. Irregardless of how many litters I use a sire for, I DNA test every sire.
Kennel inspections are done to ensure the integrity of the AKC registry and monitor care and conditions at kennels across the country. The AKC is the only purebred dog registry in the United States that maintains an organized and continuous investigation and inspection effort. The AKC conducts approximately 5,000 inspections each year to ensure compliance with standards that support the health, safety, and welfare of dogs and the environments in which they live.
When you purchase a puppy from me, you will receive an AKC puppy registration application OR a CKC (Continental Kennel Club registration (or both) that allows you to choose your own unique registered name for your puppy and then send it in to the AKC/CKC. Although there is no requirement, if you register with the AKC/CKC there are benefits to doing so. See the AKC website at www.AKC.org ot the CKC website at https://ckcusa.com/ for information on registration.

REFERENCE-
We have a wonderful relationship with our Veterinarian, Dr Jason Harris at the Bluewater Bay Animal Hospital. His father, Dr. Scott Harris and Dr. J have been tending to the needs of our dogs and their babies for many years and is an excellent reference to contact in regards to the many years of HEALTHY, beautiful puppies and adults we have had and currently share our lives with. Feel free to contact them regarding our past babies, their consistent quality and excellent health.
4400 FL-20 #401, Niceville, FL 32578 (850-897-4600)
PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTION before buying a new puppy from us or any breeder.
I have been breeding dogs for almost 30 years on a very small and selective scale. Too many dogs is well... just too many. Each one requires his/her own special time with its human for play, love and affection. It would be unfair to have so many that one could not be able to make adequate time on a daily basis to spend one on one with each pet. They provide an unconditional love and devotion that no human can truly and completely give.
My top priority as a breeder is my investment in HEALTH and QUALITY. Our very reputation has been built on this strong belief. Because of the care we have taken in our pets, we feel that not ever having a puppy to date returned due to any serious health condition I strongly believe stems from these beliefs and practices.
